This annual LGBTIQA+ pride celebration during June is a bring awareness and recognition for all the positive impact / influences the LGBTIQA+ people have had throughout the world. Held in June to encompass the 1969 Stonewall Riots which marked the beginning of global awareness towards our community. This month long celebration is an opportune time raise political awareness, hold community events such as poetry reading, public speaking or host a workshop. As Parades are a prominent feature of Pride month, Victoria holds their Pride March in late January to mark the end of the mid summer festival.
