International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia.
IDAHOBIT is a day to stand with the LGBTIQ community. Mark the day by start small or go big, Raise a Pride flag in your town, wear it rainbow colours, Host an event such as a morning tea, or school assembly. Pride Packs with rainbow ribbons are readily available to purchase from a number of LGBTIQ organisations where 100% of proceeds raised further much needed support for our LGBTIQ communities.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we work and live, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on this land and commit to building a brighter future together.
We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded. We seek to walk together in the spirit of reconciliation.
This land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
